An educational tool to assist and guide instructors to train healthcare providers in essential newborn care. The ECEB is a hands-on essential newborn care training program by the American Academy of Pediatrics, based on the latest WHO guidelines. The curriculum covers the period after birth throughout the first day of the newborn’s life, until the time of discharge.
The Essential Care for Every Baby (ECEB) curriculum is part of the evidence-based suite of training program called Helping Babies Survive. Read more about them here.
The curriculum is currently available in English, French and Spanish with African graphics.
ECEB takes around 1,5 day to teach.

If you want to hold an ECEB training, you need the ECEB curriculum and the following:
